I’m creating every piece myself in my studio with a lot of care and love. This one was shaped using the coiling technique and meticulously hand-painted with brush. Fired once and finally, coated with glaze for a polished finish before going though second and last firing.

Crafted from white stoneware, fired to an off-white hue, hand-painted with pigments, and finished with a brilliant glaze.

I have a keen interest in working on both sculptural and functional pieces. Vases, by their nature, are objects that can be useful without being strictly necessary; they invite creativity, and I enjoy transforming them into utilitarian sculptures. Versatils works in between design, craft and art. With these homes for plants, I aim to create works that will act as envelopes, allowing plants to bring the poetry of the seasons from the outside world to the inside. These pieces are carefully crafted around a void, with my hands and tools serving as extensions of this creative process. Through these artworks, I seek to convey a sense of care. Furthermore, the daily attention required by plants helps ground us in the tangible world, adding another layer of connection to our surroundings.
